regulate Canada's banks to stop fuelling the climate crisis

Although Canada is committed to the Paris Agreement, Canadian banks continue to increase their financing for fossil fuels.

Since 2016, Canada's five largest banks have collectively provided more than C$1 trillion to fossil fuel companies. They have, until now, refused to divest from fossil fuels and have even increased the funding they provide to them.

The federal government must use all the tools at its disposal to align Canada's financial system with the Paris Agreement.

Let's ban Canadian banks from making loans to the oil industry.
